The Industrial Control Board is available as either a low-cost ISA version or a higher speed PCI version. The card is a programmable I/O interface for all styles of PC.

The PCI bus 64 Channel Industrial Control Board is a 32 bit PCI bus board with Plug and Play (PnP) features. The PnP features mean that the hardware configuration for IRQ and I/O address is detected automatically by the computer, so you don’t need to set switches and jumpers.

The PCI version has a total of 4 digital I/O ports, each I/O port providing 16 I/O lines, and can be set to either input or output by the user's program.

The ISA 64 Channel Industrial Control Board is similar, but uses jumper settings to dictate the I/O address and IRQ for the board. The ISA version has a total of 8 digital I/O ports, each port providing 16 I/O lines, which can be set to either input or output by the user's program.

The signal assignments of the control board is designed using a standard configuration. This means that you can connect any other member of the Industrial I/O family of cards to this controller with ease. The other members of the Industrial I/O family of cards are 16 channel relay output box (DC-0750), 16 channel opto-isolated input box (DC-0740) and a 8 channel opto-isolated input / relay output box (DC-0730).
